I am raising money in memory of my wonderful dad who passed away quite suddenly on Monday the 1st July 2013; (David Cross).

To help myself with my grieving I wanted to do something to help others and thought that fund raising was the way to do this.

I aimed to raise £500 before Christmas by doing a small tuck shop in my place of work.

Also we have had numerous cake sales, where the wonderful team of people I work with at Auto Trader baked cakes in their own time and brought them into work.

We sold them to other members of staff and raised a good few hundred pounds!

Just before Christmas I did a raffle and lots of local businesses donated gifts – this raised a massive £665.

By Christmas I had raised over £3000, so I absolutely smashed the target I set myself.

If I had one wish it would be to go back to when my dad was poorly and know what I know now so I could have been more supportive and understand what he was going through.
