Wyre Forest Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group

The first meeting of the Wyre Forest Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group took place on 23.10.18 at the Holy Innocents Community Hall in Stourport, Kidderminster. The aim of the group is to provide useful information for people affected by the condition and to enable mutual support from other people in the area.

At the first meeting Councillor David Ross attended to provide his support for the group. Nancy Howard, Respiratory Nurse Specialist and Jane Nolan, Respiratory Lead and physiotherapist from the Worcester Acute Hospital also attended and Nancy gave a talk regarding support groups and keeping well.

Elaine Ball organised and led the meeting and Lorna McLauchlan the support group co-ordinator from Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis give a short talk about the charity and how it is working to help and support those affected by Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Anyone affected by the condition, patients, family, friends and carers are welcome to come along. There will be light refreshments available. The venue is on a good public transport link and there is a large free car park available.
