Chester Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group
The launch of a new pulmonary fibrosis support group in the Chester area took place on 2nd September 1997 at The Pavilion, Upton by Chester. The meeting was a huge success and around 22 patients, carers and relatives attended making it a lively and friendly meeting.
Samantha Roberts, Respiratory Physiotherapist Specialist and respiratory lead from the Countess of Chester Hospital, attended the first meeting alongside Lorna McLauchlan the support group co-ordinator and Wendy Dickinson, charity ambassador from Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis. A presentation was given about how the charity is working to support people living with the disease and the benefits of groups.
