Neil Hicks

Neil currently works as a Senior Bid Manager on major bridge projects across Europe managing a team on some of Europe’s largest bridge projects currently totalling over £250 million.

Previously he has worked in prominent managerial roles on major commercial and civil engineering projects. He is also Managing Director of his own Italian furniture business importing high quality contemporary designs which are then delivered to market via the internet.

Neil with his wife Mary were the founding members of the patient support charity Pulmonary Fibrosis Wales, set up in memory of his mother-in-law Margret Zier MBE. The charity offers advice and support to sufferers and families living with IPF and PF in the South Wales area, their latest project being a booklet to this effect with National Lottery Funding, available nationally. They have a prominent website and are raising awareness of the condition at every opportunity.

Neil strongly believes in the aims of Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis and the need for a national charity which can assist the regional groups, and raise awareness on a global level.
