Elizabeth has worked in the further education sector for over 30 years, initially as a lecturer, then as a curriculum manager and subsequently heading up a business development department.
The main focus was leading a team to manage commercial work and obtain external funding to develop curriculum and new business opportunities. Over the last 15 years this has included extensive experience in developing and managing projects. With responsibility for writing bids and managing educational development projects, she has worked with partners across the UK and Europe. During this period she also worked as an inspector of colleges and training providers.
Elizabeth also has interests in her local community, as a parish councillor and member of local community and business organisations. She was a trustee with a local charity for many years until it merged with a larger organisation. Her interest in becoming a trustee of Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis results from her close involvement with the disease following her husband’s diagnosis with IPF.
