Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis launches new support line for patients and carers
Today we are pleased to announce the launch of our pulmonary fibrosis support line. The support line is for patients and carers and will be run by specialist ILD nurses and charity ambassadors who are there to help you when you need it.
We decided to launch a support line because we know having pulmonary fibrosis can be very isolating and that there is a lack of information readily available.
APF Chair Steve Jones says: “We are delighted to be able to launch the support line which we hope will be of great use to patients and families. We are often contacted by people who need advice, practical help or just someone to talk to about what they are going through and we are so pleased that today we are able to launch that service.”
The support line will be piloted over the next couple of months and we will assess whether to increase its hours based on demand.
