The Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis Trustees

As APF has grown from just an idea less than four years ago to a powerful voice for patients we thought you may like to know a little more about the people behind it.

We are very proud to be able to say that all our trustees – the people who help run the charity and make the decisions – all have a personal connection with the disease. Our proud claim is that we are the Voice of the Patient and we have reinforced that claim recently by appointing three patients to our Board – Howard Almond, Steve Jones and Tony Gowland.

Many of you will know Tony from his role as an Action Ambassador and blogger. Tony received a double lung transplant at the end of last year and will now be laying down his pen for a while and concentrating on bringing his unique insight to our decision-making.
