APF Fundrasier sets up Charity Fantasy Football – Peter Taylor Memorial League

Peter Taylor and Brian Clough

An APF fundraiser has created the Peter Taylor Memorial League in memory of football manager Peter Taylor who died from IPF in 1990.

Together, Clough and Taylor achieved dizzying heights of success, winning two consecutive European Cups and two League cups. Sadly, Peter Taylor died in 1990 aged just 62, from pulmonary fibrosis. The Taylor family have close ties to APF; his daughter, Wendy Dickinson, is a trustee of Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, and his granddaughter, Alex Croft, is the Fundraising and Marketing Co-ordinator.

Fundraisers Paul and Nicola Stewart came to APF, after taking part in the Clough Taylor Run in March, to set up a charity Fantasy Football league in Peter’s name. Nicola sadly lost her Dad to pulmonary fibrosis last year and they have been supporting us in any way they can.

It’s completely free to join the league but Paul & Nicola do ask for a minimum donation of £5 – but you can be as generous as you like!

Donate via or you can donate via Text Donte. Text PTML17 £5 (amount can be anything) to 70070.
