APF is founding sponsor of new ILD Integrated Network – an organisation for nurses working in ILD care.

APF is proud to announce that it is a founding sponsor of the new ILD-INN, a professional organisation set up to promote excellence and improvements in the care of ILD patients across the UK. Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is the most common type of interstitial lung disease.

The new organisation began life as a small group of specialist ILD nurses working together informally to provide peer support, ILD study days and shadowing opportunities for newly-appointed nurses working in ILD care.

The interest has been so great that the initial small group has become a fully-fledged professional organisation with a membership that has grown in just a few months to over 200.

APF will be working in partnership with the ILD-INN next year to deliver a programme of ILD training to community and practice nurses in more than 12 different regions of the UK to increase knowledge of IPF and promote early diagnosis.
