IPF World Week starts on 28 September – are you ready?
This year’s IPF World Week starts this Sunday on 28 September to 4 October.
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis World Week was created in 2012 as an initiative to inform people around the globe that Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a rare and poorly understood chronic and ultimately fatal lung disease.
Each year, around 35,000 people in Europe are newly diagnosed with IPF, with this number likely to increase in the future. The global theme for IPF Week is Breath of Hope symbolising the difficulties in breathing for people with IPF.
With your help we want to raise as much awareness as we can during this week. You can hold a fundraising event, talk about IPF on Twitter or Facebook or simply tell one person about pulmonary fibrosis – every bit helps.
You can follow us on Twitter.com/actionpfcharity and use the hashtag #myipfstory to share your story and experiences with pulmonary fibrosis.
You can also follow out Facebook.com/actionpulmonaryfibrosis page and keep up to date with news and events there.
