IPF awareness day in Manchester
This week a very successful IPF awareness day was held in the University Hospital of South Manchester led by the Manchester support group.
There were two stands with leaflets, postcards and cakes and visitors gave donations – about £190 was raised!
Lots of leaflets were given out and the support group members spread the word to patients, staff and visitors about pulmonary fibrosis and Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis. The group blew bubbles (the symbol for IPF) in the Chest clinic gardens in full view of all the patients.
A big thank you goes to Paul and Kath Whelan, Mary and Tony Mills, Alan and Jean Lancaster, Pauline Nash and Annette Duck.
