  • Steve Wright completes Manchester Marathon!

A huge thank you to one of our supporters Steve Wright who completed the Manchester Marathon in 3 hours 55 minutes! Steve is taking part in two more events this year for APF; the Berlin Marathon on 24th September and the Glasgow Half Marathon on 1st October for his father who has IPF.

I was hoping to get under 4 hours, so was really happy with my time, although very tiring really worth it in the end, onwards now to Berlin Marathon in September and hopefully get more money raised for this wonderful charity

  • Family & friends walk to celebrate the life of Kath Davies

This is the second year that Steve Davies has organised a walk to celebrate the life of his Mum Kath and to raise awareness for Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, and this year they have so far raised an amazing £1064. Thank you so much to Steve and Vicky Davies and to all who took part in this celebration and awareness raising day.

  • Mears Family musical night in loving memory of Tim Mears who passed away in November

A huge thank you to Dominic Mears and family who put on an event in memory of Tim Mears; loving father, husband, brother and friend to many, who sadly passed away at the age of 58 from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

We organised a live music event in Birmingham (with a band that I play the saxophone in) performing various well known disco/funk/pop tunes that my Dad would surely have enjoyed had he still been here. My sisters and mum also ran a very popular cake sale on the night in order to raise funds that will hopefully help to one day beat this horrendous disease.
