APF delighted to attend new support group at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis were delighted to have attended the launch of a new pulmonary fibrosis support group last week.

The Guys & St Thomas’ support group. APF trustee Howard Almond (standing).

The group at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, run by ILD Clinical Nurse Specialist Wai Lam-Richardson, had their first patient support group on the 9th November. At the launch was APF trustee Howard Almond who gave a talk.

We know from talking to patients and family members how valuable pulmonary fibrosis support groups are. We are committed to ensuring that all pulmonary fibrosis patients in the UK have access to a support group by 2022. There are currently 46 groups but over 100 are needed.
